I had been wanting to visit Mount Vernon for years. Finally, I got to do this bucket list item. Like all my vacations, I plan in advance. Tours, grounds, museums, lunch, etc. I had an entire day … Full review by Lisa A

What better time is there to visit the most famous home in America. I have visited this famous property many times before but what better time than July the Fourth! As expected my day was crowded and… Full review by 350jakeb

We did a HAMILTON tour of Mount Vernon and I thought it was great! I have low tour tolerance--- sometimes they are too long and boring. But I figured referencing Hamilton might be fun. Our tour guide… Full review by Jaime D

What? There is no 3rd floor accessible at this moment in time, only the ground floor and the first floor (or one level and the next level). Check my very detailed review. The rest of your paragraph does not make much sense.
Is the second floor closed because of covid? What was allowed to be toured before covid? Will those areas be re-opened?
A:
The second flloot is closed because of COVID. My understanding is that it was previously open and will hopefully open in the future if COVID restrictions are lifted.

The tour of the mansion is not a private tour; however it is a timed-tour. You will have to purchase tickets from the box-office for a specific time. The earlier you arrive at the site, the better of a chance to get in at a decent time. The rest of the property and museum is "walk trough at your own pace and it is mainly outdoors!" Well worth the walk around as the grave of Washington is part of the walking outside tour.
I see there alot of add-ons available to the general price of admission (slave quarters, audio headset, etc). What exactly is covered in JUST the price of admission? Can we see any of the add-ons without paying extra?
A:
A simple answer is no to having the add-ons included in the general admission price. We did not use any of the add-ons and still found the place quite interesting. There is a lot to be …
A simple answer is no to having the add-ons included in the general admission price. We did not use any of the add-ons and still found the place quite interesting. There is a lot to be discovered on a self-guided tour. You need to look closely at what the add-ons include and determine if they are worth the extra cost. Our general admission gave us a very nice overview of Mt. Vernon and in all the places there is signage to help you understand what you are looking at.
