For the most part a wheelchair can navigate the grounds There is not a visible ramp into the plantation house so if an individual is unable to walk at all the house tour would not be an option, same with the Slave Street there is at least one step involved to enter any of the cabins. There is a trolly ride around the grounds but again that involves getting on to the trolley. Hope this is helpful If it’s something that the entire party with the individual I the WC would still like to do, would suggest calling Boone Hall or emailing, explain the situation and see if they would offer a discount for that one ticket. The grounds are lovely and the Gullah presentation is something that everyone can enjoy.

Q:
Can you see the Avenue of oaks without doing the tour?
A:
Part of it, yes. You don't get to see where one of the original owners is buried just beside the avenue.
Q:
how long does it take to your Boone Hall?
A:
We spent about two and a half hours visiting the plantation between the guided tour of the house and our own exploration of the grounds.
Q:
Do you offer discount for college if Charleston students?
A:
Students and seniors are given a discount.
