Gazelle is a census-designated place in Siskiyou County, California, United States. Its population is 95 as of the 2020 census, up from 70 from the 2010 census. The name, that of a small African antelope, was given to the post office in 1870. In the 1850s a steamer Gazelle plied the waters between San Francisco and the upper Sacramento River.
