Located in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, our Lehigh Gorge passenger train rides take you on a 70-minute round-trip narrated tour which follows the Lehigh River’s scenic views in the iconic Lehigh Gorge State Park. High-rising cliffs and mountain scenery surround the train along the route to Old Penn Haven. Wildlife is plentiful and you will see hikers and bikers on the rail-trail as well as white water rafters battling the river. During your train ride, you will learn about railroad lore, local wildlife, the history of the anthracite coal region, and the people who launched America into the Industrial Age. It was so boring. Takes you about 20 minutes one way, then back. Did not take us over the gorge. So disappointing! The town is beautiful and staff was very nice. Full review by Kristy M
