Costco members looking to make a last-minute grocery run on Veterans Day are in luck. The warehouse store will remain open despite it being a federal holiday. While its locations close on Memorial Day, Veterans Day is not one of the federal holidays the company normally observes.

Veterans Day honors active and former US service members annually on November 11, the anniversary of the end of World War I.

Here’s when grocery stores will be open in Fresno for Veterans Day: Aldi: Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Costco: Open 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. El Super: Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. FoodMaxx: Open 6.am. to 12 a.m. Grocery Outlet: Open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Savemart: Open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Here are open hours for pharmacies in the Modesto area on Veterans Day: CVS: Open 24 hours; pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Walgreens: Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; pharmacy is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rite Aid: Open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; pharmacy is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Several supermarkets and retailers will be open in SLO County on Veterans Day, including: Albertsons: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Costco: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Ralphs: 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Smart and Final: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Target: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Trader Joe’s: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Vons: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., pharmacy open 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 8 p.m.
