Jason Kidd said prior to tipoff in Phoenix that center Dereck Lively II will be out Friday with a left hip contusion. Lively has played in 25 of the Mavericks’ 30 games this season, having missed a four-game stretch earlier this season with a shoulder sprain.

Suns center Jusuf Nurkic and Mavericks forwards Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington were tossed from Friday night's game after a scuffle broke out.
