MIAMI - Florida voters in the 2024 election are deciding whether or not the state will legalize marijuana for recreational use.

Florida voters will see recreational marijuana on the ballot in Florida as an initiated constitutional amendment , known as Amendment 3, on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Amendment 3 seeks to legalize recreational marijuana, allowing those 21 and older to have up to 3 ounces and up to 5 grams of cannabis concentrate.

A vote to legalize recreational marijuana failed to get enough votes to pass on Tuesday despite a majority supporting the measure.

Amendment 3, which would have allowed adults who are 21 or older to possess marijuana at certain amounts, has failed in Florida.
