A homeless man was found dead Wednesday near the Cumberland riverbank in what Nashville police believe is the first homicide of 2025. Two men, also experiencing homelessness, reported the man's body to a Nashville Downtown Partnership ambassador, Metro Nashville Police said in a statement Thursday morning.

The St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a triple homicide in Amite. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Sawmill Road or Par Road 37, just off of Leonard Chapel Road in Amite about an apparent triple homicide around 4:30 p.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. deputies with St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to an apparent triple homicide at 1599 Sawmill Road in Amite.

The Arizona Attorney General's Office is opening up a new cold case homicide unit. We're taking a look at the first five cases it'll be re-examining with Valley police departments.

The Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is establishing a new unit within her office that will focus on solving cold case murders. They will first focus on five cases working alongside local police departments.

The unit will require no additional state resources and will work in tandem with local agencies across Arizona.
