The cold wave-like situation in India is likely to grow intense in the coming days. Rainfall is predicted in Delhi-NCR and nearby regions, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and other states in the next three days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab regions are expected to witness cold day conditions on December 27 and 28, said IMD.

IMD forecasts cold waves, dense fog, rain, and slight temperature fluctuations across Northwest India, including Delhi with improved air quality.

As dense fog covered parts of Rajasthan on Thursday, the meteorological department has warned of rain, hailstorms, and cold waves in the coming days.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a western disturbance currently situated near Punjab and adjoining areas is expected to bring light rain or snowfall to isolated parts of the western Himalayan region.

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a weather disturbance along with easterly winds is set to influence the weather patterns, resulting in downpours, hailstorms, and thunderstorms in Northwest and Central India on December 27 and December 28.

Delhi had light rain which caused a drop in temperature. Further drops are expected due to fresh snowfall in the Himalayas. Extreme winters are anticipated around December 31. The IMD forecasts fog and light rain in the coming days.
