The Met Office has issued new snow and ice warnings for six regions - it comes as Storm Éowyn brings fierce winds, heavy rain and serious snow across the country

A yellow warning has been issued for the whole of Northern Ireland as well as Scotland and northern England from 7pm on Friday until 10am Saturday.

The storm is likely to damage buildings, uproot trees and cause power cuts, according to the Met Office alerts. In Wales, winds reached a top speed of 93mph in the Welsh village of Aberdaron, Gwynedd, on Friday morning, the Met Office said.
