Formula One’s most iconic race, the Monaco Grand Prix, will be staged in June from 2026 as part of a new six-year agreement to remain on the calendar.

The Monaco Grand Prix is a processional shitshow that isn’t worth watching. The narrow streets and tight corners of the principality’s once-blue riband event are ill served by the ever longer and wider specifications of car mandated by Formula 1 in the modern era.

As part of the deal, the race will move in 2026 to June and avoid conflict with the Indianapolis 500 and establish a "Triple Crown" schedule where the Indy 500, Monaco Grand Prix
