The first incident happened Friday, when police were called at about 8:50 p.m. in reference to a shooting in the 100 block of Seale Road. Police said officers who responded found 28-year-old Matthew Brooks III, a Phenix City resident, dead at the scene.

Two separate shootings overnight in Phenix City led to the death of two people and another who was critically injured. The first shooting occurred at 8:50 p.m. Friday night at the Dollar General located at 109 Seal Road. Matthew Brooks III, 28 years old, was found dead at the scene.

One man is dead and a woman is in critical condition following a Saturday morning shooting in the 1000 block of North Railroad Street in Phenix City. Police say the shooting happened around 4 a.m. and is still under investigation.
