Rocket Lab stock is on a roll as launch revenue rolls in and a new Neutron rocket promises to grow revenue even more. Rocket Lab ( RKLB 43.99%) stock lived up to its name this morning as shares were up 44% at 10:45 a.m. ET after an encouraging earnings report Tuesday evening.

Shares of commercial space start-up Rocket Lab jumped after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter results late Tuesday. The stock rose 26% to $18.40 in premarket trading Wednesday. S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures each were down about 0.

The bulk of Rocket Lab's Q3 revenue growth came from its Space Systems unit, which builds spacecraft and sells satellite parts. The business brought in $83.9 million of the quarter's revenue, up from $46.3 million a year ago, while its Launch unit it brought in $21 million, roughly in line from $21.3 million a year prior.
