Gov. Mike DeWine held a briefing in Springfield, Ohio, to provide an update on the city that's been thrust into a national immigration spotlight.

Trump has repeatedly made false claims about immigrants living in Springfield, and DeWine said several times the former president is wrong. The meeting was held at Springfield City Hall to discuss the strain the city has been through since the debate, plus how the governor and mayor have requested additional resources to help.

On Monday, DeWine sent Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers to the city to provide added security for district school buildings.
