Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, remains optimistic Taiwo Awoniyi will be fit for the club's next league game against Newcastle United.

Nottingham Forest are hopeful striker Taiwo Awoniyi will be available for next weekend’s clash with Newcastle United. The front man was ruled out of the Reds’ 2-1 defeat at Fulham due to concussion protocols. He had been on the end of a nasty collision towards the end of Forest’s midweek FA Cup win over Exeter City.

Awoniyi is being fitted with a face mask — similar to the one recently worn by Forest defender Neco Williams — to protect his nose.
