Several terrorist attacks have already claimed the lives of Pakistani and Chinese citizens. Pakistan had conducted airstrikes in Afghanistan, stating that its aim was to target Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The Pakistani military conducted air raids potentially killed dozens while targeting alleged Pakistani Taliban militants in the rural Paktika Province of Afghanistan Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, the Pakistani military said security forces killed 13 insurgents in an overnight operation in an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan.
