WASHINGTON, D.C.– The U.S. Department of Education recently withdrew a proposed rule change under Title IX sex discrimination law that would have allowed gender-confused male athletes to play on women

President Biden has withdrawn his proposed rule protecting transgender athletes, but that doesn’t mean the game is up for biological males in female scholastic sports.

The U.S. Department of Education on Dec. 20 signaled it would withdraw a proposed rule that would have set a regulatory standard for how schools limit or ban transgender students from competing in sports aligned with their gender identity.

The Biden administration withdrew an amendment to Title IX that would have prevented local school districts from restricting transgender athletic participation.

The Department of Education received more than 150,000 public comments on the proposed Title IX rule change and faced several lawsuits.

In a new document, Biden’s Department of Education said that it would not be issuing a regulation on trans athletes, and that it does “not intend for a final rule to be issued.”

The Biden administration has completed its retreat from a rule that would have extended Title IX protections to trans student-athletes.
