The Washington Commanders exercised their right to retain assistant quarterbacks coach David Blough despite interest from the New York Jets, who hired Charles London to fill the QB coach vacancy

It became reality Wednesday, as Glenn -- most recently the Detroit Lions' defensive coordinator -- agreed in principle to become the 18th non-interim head coach in Jets history, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

But amid all the excitement about former cornerback coming back to lead the team that picked him in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft, the search for a new general manager did not come to an end with them hiring their only finalist, Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark who interviewed with Glenn on Tuesday.
