LeGarrette Blount Jr. has received an offer from the Tar Heels, the class of 2028 prospect announced on social media. The son of the Patriots standout running back with the same name, Blount plays defensive back and wide receiver at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

North Carolina offered Legarrette Blount Jr., the son of former Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount, who won two Super Bowls with Belichick in New England. "Blessed to receive my 2nd D1 offer from North Carolina!!" Blount Jr. wrote on his X page on Wednesday.

Bill Belichick is trying his hardest to get the band back together in Chapel Hill. After hiring both of his sons, Michael Lombardi, and former linebacker Jamie Collins to his North Carolina staff, the 72-year-old has now extended an offer to a former Patriots running back's son to play for the Tar Heels.
