Defenceman Marcus Pettersson has re-signed with the team that traded for him. He has landed a six-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks. The contract has an annual average of $5.5 million.

Just days after acquiring Marcus Pettersson from the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Vancouver Canucks have signed the 28-year-old to a six-year, $33 million contract extension. The new contract will start next season and carries a cap hit of $5.
