Justin Allgaier won his first NASCAR Xfinity season championship Saturday night at Phoenix Raceway, making a stunning comeback after falling a lap down midway through the race.

The 40-year-old Allgaier from Riverton, Illinois, rallied from an eventful weekend and finale mired with starting at the rear of the field in a backup car, nearly having a tire go down prior to the second stage's conclusion,
