Towana Looney, an Alabama woman who received a gene-edited pig kidney transplant, has surpassed two months post-surgery, making her the longest living recipient of such a transplant.

Towana Looney, 53, who previously donated her kidney to her mom, said she felt like a 'superwoman' after passing the milestone in a healthy condition.
