The New York Giants have a 2-8 record heading into their bye week and general manager Joe Schoen acknowledged this is not where he expected to be in the third year of his rebuild with coach Brian Daboll.

Schoen's bye week news conference was a no-win situation for the GM. Unfortunately, that made it a lot like the team he has assembled.

The New York Giants decided to roll with Daniel Jones at quarterback this past offseason after inking him to a four-year, $160 million deal in March of 2023 that basically locked them into him for at least the 2024 season.
