A new report from an independent police monitor has found that two high-ranking NYPD officials violated department policy by sharing “unprofessional” posts on social media. The report from the NYPD inspector general faulted the NYPD’s Chief of Department John Chell and a deputy commissioner for a slew of “irresponsible” posts that attacked civil servants and journalists.
