A Sheffield Wednesday fan has been charged after a sick post mocking the death of a West Brom fan was shared on social media.

West Bromwich Albion have written to the EFL to request they conduct their own investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a supporter during their clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday,

The brother of a West Bromwich Albion fan who died after collapsing at Hillsborough during Saturday’s Championship fixture against Sheffield Wednesday has demanded to know why paramedics took 15 minutes to arrive in the stands.

Top of the table West Bromwich Albion faced Sheffield Wednesday in an early Championship kick off on Saturday, in which the Owls ran out 3-2 winners. Shortly after the game had finished, the Midlands side tweeted a statement which confirmed the death of a supporter during the game.
