Mikel Arteta has admitted he is disappointed at Arsenal's failure to land a striker in the January transfer window as his side continues to chase Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal failed to make any signings during the January transfer window. It wasn't for a lack of trying from the Gunners though, leaving Mikel Arteta less than happy.

Things went from bad to worse when winger Gabriel Martinelli hobbled off with an apparent hamstring injury in the 37th minute, just two days after Arsenal stood pat in the January transfer window despite Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus already out through long-term injuries.
