Gov. Kevin Stitt pushes for a half-point income tax cut, but legislative backing will determine if Oklahoma moves toward full elimination.

Gov. Kevin Stitt issued a renewed call on Wednesday for lawmakers to reduce the state’s income tax by 0.5% and create a pathway toward eliminating it.

The governor took questions on topics including: an income tax cut, illegal immigrants in state prisons and federal funding.

Governor Stitt is highlighting his top priorities for the year, ahead of his State of the State address and the start of the legislative session on February 3.
