President Cyril Ramaphosa spoke with Elon Musk after the South African-born billionaire joined President Donald Trump in criticizing the country’s new land-expropriation law.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa spoke to Elon Musk on the subject of misinformation about South Africa, the presidency said on Tuesday, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would suspend aid to the country over its land reform policy.

President Cyril Ramaphosa reiterated South Africa’s constitutionally embedded values of the respect for the rule of law, justice, fairness and equality, when he spoke with Elon Musk on Monday. The Presidency said on the X platform,
