Ireland is thawing out after a brutal deep freeze, but the cold snap isn’t over yet. Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for a 15-hour stretch, with visibility set to plunge from 6pm to 9am.

It comes as sweet relief is finally in sight with five days of no rain and temperatures in double digits set for the coming days

A fresh yellow warning for snow and ice has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. The warning is in place for counties Antrim, Londonderry, Fermanagh, and Tyrone from 16:00 GMT until 11:00 GMT.
