SpaceX could launch its Starship rocket in a couple of weeks, for the sixth test flight of the craft. A launch is planned for as soon as November 18.

SpaceX has announced the next test flight for its Starship rocket, and it's sooner than you probably expected. The sixth Starship launch will happen as early as Nov. 18 at SpaceX's Boca Chica testing facility.

Flight 6 of SpaceX's giant Starship is scheduled to fly no earlier than Monday, November 18, 2024. If there are no delays, the world's largest rocket ever to fly will lift off at 4:00 pm CST from the company's Texas Starbase.

The five previous flights of Starship, dating back to April 2023, have all launched near dawn from South Texas. For the upcoming mission, the company will look for a late-afternoon launch window, which will allow the vehicle to reenter during daylight into the Indian Ocean.

SpaceX is gearing up for its sixth Starship launch, slated for November 18. The upcoming mission could also see another attempt at catching the Super Heavy Booster, depending on conditions. This comes after the fifth flight test's incredible feat of the Super Heavy Booster being successfully caught by the launch tower's "chopstick" arms.
