It's an open secret nowadays that the Miami Heat 's fabled "Heatles" nearly played in a different city. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have long said that Chicago was one of the teams that they considered joining before settling on Miami.

As mentioned, the Heat, upon returning from Charlotte, will honor Wade with an unveiled statue on Sunday evening. Wade, who was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame last year, remains the face of Miami Heat basketball despite retiring in 2019.
