Two people suspected of being involved in the shooting early Sunday morning were arrested and charged with murder, according to police.

"The motive here is inexcusable. ... Ugly, impulsive violence and something that we should not accept as a community," Chief Birkenfeld said.

Amarillo Police Department said in a statement. After allegedly discharging multiple rounds into the crowd and shooting nine people, the suspect re-entered the vehicle and fled the scene, the APD said in the statement.
