Mississippi teen Carly Gregg was severely depressed and possibly hearing voices when she allegedly gunned down her own mother, psychiatrists testified at her trial Thursday — but one argued she committed a “diabolical” act that keeps her from meeting the requirements of an insanity defense.

Gregg was seen crying and wiping away tears as she listened to the 911 recording. She also became emotional when the prosecution played the body camera video from the first Rankin County deputy at the scene. The deputy said Gregg ran from the scene after the shooting, but she was later captured.
