Glasgow will host an interesting knockout fixture between Bayern Muncich and Celtic on Wednesday in the Champions League playoffs. They've met four times previously with Bayern winning three times but haven't faced each other since the 2017-18 group stage of Champions League play.

Bayern Munich looks set to survive the new Champions League playoffs round. AC Milan joined Atalanta and Monaco losing their first-leg games Wednesday.

Celtic are playing in their first Champions League knockout tie in 12 years, with their last coming in a 3-0 defeat to Juventus in February 2013. The Scottish champions benefited from the changes to the Champions League format and finished the league phase in 21st position – with ten of their 12 points coming at Celtic Park.
