A lucky Powerball player drew inspiration for his numbers from a recent golf round and won big in Maryland, lottery officials said. The Calvert County man won $151,210 in the Dec. 21 drawing, the Maryland Lottery said in a Dec. 27 news release.

One lucky person is ending 2024 as a millionaire. A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold Saturday Dec 21 at the Jewel-Osco in Melrose Park. The ticket matched all five numbers. Those numbers are 1-12-17-21-58.

The winning ticket was sold through the third-party lottery app Jackpot.com, according to the New Jersey Lottery. This win comes just days after another New Jersey lottery player also won $2 million in Saturday's Powerball. That winning ticket was sold at Lucky 7 Deli and Food Mart on Centre Strett in Nutley in Essex County.
