U.S. Border Patrol agent David Maland, who was born in Blue Earth and raised in Fairmont, was killed on Friday near the Canadian border in Vermont.
The agent was identified as David “Chris” Maland, 44. Maland was a Blue Earth native and a graduate of Fairmont High School.
