The Virginia Department of Education is releasing its final guidance tomorrow to make schools in the Commonwealth cell phone-free.

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) was anticipated to unveil its final policy on implementing cell phone-free school days across the state on Monday. However, as of Tuesday morning, there has been no official release.

The guidance is more strict than the current policies in place in many public schools. It’s unclear whether there could be consequences for school divisions that don’t comply.
