An asteroid, the size of India Gate, will pass close to Earth today. The asteroid, named 2019 VU5, is travelling at a speed of 83,934 km/h. It will pass at a distance of about 4.6 million kilometres from Earth.

Scheduled to pass by Earth on April 13, 2029, Apophis will come within just 19,000 miles of our planet—closer than some satellites.

NASA is keeping a close eye on a bus-sized asteroid that's expected to skim past Earth tomorrow morning. It's one of five that will pass us this weekend.
