It was exactly the type of statement victory Musselman and the Trojans were looking for. After a frustrating loss to crosstown rival UCLA on Monday night, USC was in desperate need of a strong bounce-back performance. Boy did the Trojans get that, holding the first-place team in the Big Ten to 64 points.

Desmond Claude, despite missing five minutes because of an injury, leads the Trojans with his aggressive play and game-high 19 points in USC's 70-64 win.

The USC Trojans are 9-5 while playing at Galen Center. After losing two in a row on their home court, USC coach Eric Musselman is looking for different avenues to finish out the season strong at home.

Eric Musselman was clearly a better college basketball coach than Tom Izzo in the early part of this decade. That's not even in dispute.
