Kirk Franklin has been announced as the 2025 recipient of the Black Music Icon Award presented by the Black Music Collective. The Black Music Collective is an advisory group of music industry leaders who will speak openly about new and emerging opportunities in Black music and identify ways to drive Black representation.

Jan. 30, 2025, GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, songwriter and producer Kirk Franklin will be celebrated at the fourth annual Recording Academy® Honors Presented by the Black Music Collective at the Fairmont Century Plaza.
