Kohl’s is closing 27 stores by April 2025 to shed some locations that are underperforming. While the closings may seem like a lot, the Wisconsin-based retailer operates around 1,150 stores across the country, which amounts to less than 3% of all locations slated for closure.

Macy's just revealed a list of 66 stores across 22 states that will close this year. The company said most of the locations on the list are expected to close before May. The stores announced Thursday are the first of 150 locations that the retailer plans to shutter through 2026.
