With Apple scheduling a special event on Sept. 9, it has sparked speculation over the possibility of a newly-refreshed iPhone, as the company tends to launch a new iPhone model during September in recent years.

Apple's "It's Glowtime" event begins at 1 p.m. EDT/10 a.m. PDT. A livestream of the event, held at the Steve Jobs Theater at the company's headquarters, will be available on Apple's YouTube channe l.
