The Hollywood actor wants to fill the gap left by the 2024 shutdown of the National Theatre Wales, forced to close after a 1.6 million pound ($1.96 million) funding cut.

The actor says he is putting everything behind starting Welsh National Theatre.

The actor, best known for roles in Good Omens, The Twilight Saga and Staged, said he was "incredibly sad" to hear that the theatre company would be shutting down following a major funding cut from Arts Council Wales.
