Police have blocked off a section of a southwest Atlanta neighborhood as they search for a suspect wanted in a fatal shooting Monday afternoon.

The Doraville Police Department in Georgia said one person was killed and another wounded on Monday after gunshots rang out in the Honduran Consulate parking lot near Atlanta.

Atlanta Police officers responded to a home on Kenmore Street SW after they found a man who had been shot several times. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead, police said.

One person is dead after a shooting Sunday morning in South Dallas, police say. Officers were dispatched about 11:45 a.m. to the 5300 block of Botham Jean Boulevard, near Haven Street, where police said the victim was shot inside a parked vehicle.
