The Blacksburg Police Department has issued a boil water notice for customers. BPD is advising the Town of Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Virginia Tech, and Montgomery County Public Service Authority Waterworks.

The flooding caused by Hurricane Helene is causing water quality issues in Montgomery County and a boil notice was issued Monday. The notice includes the entire county, including water customers in Blacksburg and Christiansburg. It is the first time in recent memory that a boil notice includes both of the towns.
