DeSantis launched Operation Blue Ridge, which will fly Florida residents stranded in North Carolina by the hurricane to safety. Rescuers in Florida can use boats instead of vehicles to help residents, but the area it by the storm is several hundred miles away from any coastline.

We stand by to do more as we have resources that are not being used for our recovery efforts here in the state of Florida,”the governor said about sending help to North Carolina.

The governor said Florida is sending resources such as more than 100 Starlink satellites, three airboats, an aircraft and search and rescue teams.
