Stocks were solidly higher in mid-afternoon trading Friday, led by a rally in shares of large-cap technology companies, as the market rebounded from a sluggish start to 2025.

The major indexes climbed Friday morning and looked to end the week strongly. Nvidia retook a closely watched moving average Friday.

The Dow Jones and S&P 500 climbed but soon faded on the stock market today. Tesla fell after the company's Q4 deliveries disappointed.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 84 points, or 0.2%, to 42778. S&P 500 futures gained 16 points, or 0.3%, to 5933. Nasdaq-100 futures increased 81 points, or 0.4%, to 21249.

Dow Jones and S&P 500 futures slide as Tesla and Nvidia lead profit-taking. Bond yields rise, weighing on tech stocks and driving markets lower.

The Dow Jones fell on the stock market today. AI stock Nvidia gained even as Tesla and Meta Platforms tumbled. A Bill Ackman stock lagged.

Some of the biggest winners were mega-cap tech stocks, with Tesla up by 6% while Broadcom, Netflix, and Amazon each gained about 2%.
