The purse at the World Wide Technology Championship is $7.2 million with $1.296 million going to the winner. The winner will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a two-year PGA Tour exemption. It’s the third-to-last event in 2024.

Los Cabos, Mexico – Kevin Streelman, Tom Whitney and Rico Hoey each shot 5-under 67 in windy conditions Thursday to share the first-round lead in the World Wide Technology Championship. Winless on the PGA Tour since 2014, the 46-year-old Streelman opened his afternoon round at Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante with an eagle and a birdie.

In the opening round of the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship, Tom Whitney, Rico Hoey and Kevin Streelman each carded a 5-under 67, placing them in a three-way tie for the lead heading into Friday.

Streelman, Whitney and Hoey set the number to chase at 5-under 67 with seven players tied one behind them. The leading trio features a 46-year-old former PGA Tour winner in Streelman, a 35-year-old journeyman in Whitney and a Filipino up-and-comer in the 29-year-old Hoey.
