The Brevard County Sheriff's Office released the identity of the woman that was found on the side of the road early Monday morning in West Melbourne.

Deputies responded to the area at 6:40 a.m. after someone approached a deputy at a nearby gas station saying there appeared to be a body on the side of the road.

Deputies are investigating after a woman was found dead off a roadway on Monday morning, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.
