Dec 19, 2024 · hmm. I am all-in for a dual or tri-motor R2 if they can hit 350 miles of range like the Scout. The range on my R1T Dual motor gen 1.5 is 352 and after owning several EVs, I find 350 is the Goldilocks range for road trips. I really hope Rivian gets this into the market quickly. (I hate that Rivian is not embracing a 800V system for this, though.)

Sep 23, 2024 · The Gen 2 is noticeably smoother. The primary vibrations and bumps are much more smoothed out, and the rebound/bounciness is much reduced. Still feels like a Rivian, but very much more controlled, smooth, and steady. Stalks. Highway assist on Gen 2 is activated by pulling the stalk towards you instead of pushing down.

May 5, 2022 · Just an FYI after having to do a few resets myself. There are 3 types of reset (that I know of). This is from Rivian support and might be helpful to others in the future. Sleep Reset Rivian must be unplugged from charger, nothing plugged into any USB ports, Inverter off, all seatbelts unbuckled, no one in the vehicle.

Dec 9, 2024 · I live in Texas, and at high temps, heat pumps aren't as efficient as normal AC systems. Basically anytime over about 85F which is a lot of my year here. Given that it will be a 1st gen heatpump for Rivian, I figured there could be issues there. While overall there were a lot of changes, a lot were to reduce costs for Rivian.
Rivian R1T praise - Hurricane Helene Experience
Oct 15, 2024 · Thankfully, the Rivian charger was wide open just as Plugshare indicated. I got the R1T up to 97% and made it home with about 80% charge left in conserve mode. It took another 4 more days until our power was restored, but I'm really happy with how our Rivian and the Rivian charging station performed.
